In August 2018, due to unusually high rainfall during the monsoon season, severe floods had affected Kerala. It was the worst flood in Kerala in nearly a century. Over 483 people had died, 140 were missing, and about a million had been evacuated. Over more than 200 lakh people had been shifted to relief camps. The floods had reached alarming proportions, and the continuous rain from 8 August had made the situation disastrous.
As we were all aware of the damages caused by the floods in Kerala, We organised a collection drive to help out the people affected. We collected supplies like dal, rice, namkeens, biscuits, noodles, etc. and sent them to be distributed to those who need them.
